In conjunction with the writing and writers' blog The Golden Pencil, we're looking for a new tag line for A Way with Words. "Public radio's lively language show" seems so insubstantial and plain.
What words sum up the best qualities of the show? Is there a pithy way of describing the show so that it's easy to grasp what it's about? What's catchy and doesn't grow old fast?
We're open to new ideas and all entries are welcomed!
If yours is chosen to be the new tag line for A Way with Words, we'll give you thanks on the web site and in the email list.

Thanks for these, ya'll!
I always liked "Nerd Club of the Air" myself!
Or: "It's about so much MORE than language."
It's really tough to come up with a short one that sums it all up. (Come to think of it, this is also why I'll probably never get a tattoo. Too hard to commit to one image.)

How's about 'A Way with Words – it simply doesn't get better!'.
This would apply if the show was really great (which it is) or if it was rubbish and wasn't improving, no matter how hard the team tried!
Not a serious attempt – just wanted to raise a smile!

"Public radio's uniquely indescribable show"
"The weekly pop quiz you look forward to"
"Help for when the words elude you"
"A weekly dose of why we say what we say"
"… with the approachable and usually irreproachable hosts Martha Barnette and Grant Barrett." Possibly add "You decide which is which." A weekly word juxtaposition could be posed to keep people tuning in, if for no other reason.

And Jonnie, I like "why we say what we say" (although sometimes we talk about why you "should" say this or that, so that's only part of the story, don't you think?)
And I don't know —
