Here is a variation on the addition of the letter S to the name of a business or institution.

Atlanta’s city hospital is Grady Memorial, named for Henry W. Grady, editor of the Atlanta Constitution following the War Between the States. It is contained within one building, but was racially segregated well into the late Twentieth Century, with separate wards, emergency rooms, outpatient offices and nurses’ quarters for White and Colored. In about 1970 when I was there the living memory of that segregation was strong. The patients and staff perceived it as two hospitals and referred to White Grady or Colored Grady, or the Gradys.
