In “year of words” episode a lady used the phrase “bad grammar.” My understanding has been that the method to describe so-called “bad grammar” is actually the word “ungrammatical.”

I have two queries: 1) Is this correct? and, 2) Where did I get this idea?

Any help would help (oops).

I think that bad grammar and ungrammatical are the same, and both are correct, and I also hear people say “incorrect grammar.” But I’m no expert like Martha and Grant so I don’t think my help is much help!
