Padiddle, the Hitting-Each-Other Car Game

Jeff from Huntsville, Alabama, remembers playing a game on family road trips called padiddle. If you see a car at night with one headlight out, you say “Padiddle!” The first person to say it gets to punch a fellow passenger. His wife’s family played a variation in which the winner was entitled to a kiss. There are various rules for the game and various names, including perdiddle, perdunkle, pasquaddle, cockeye, cockeye piddle, dinklepink, and popeye.
