Here in San Diego, we often find that Spanish and English are mixing in interesting ways.

Yes, indeed.

Did you know there’s a Spanglish word for a hot dog vendor?

A dogguero.

Dogguero.

Yeah, D-O-G-U-E-R-O.

I love it.

So it takes the English dog as the root and adds the Spanish agentive suffix.

Very nice.

Very nice.

Very cool.
