Since we have closure on the "Tang for dinner" question after all this time, I thought this'd be a good time to let the other shoe drop on my own question in this thread: What character was played by two unrelated actors with the same last name?
Though there may be other solutions (and I'd still like to hear them), the pair I was thinking of was Colleen and Demi Moore, who played Hester Prynne in the 1934 and 1995 versions of The Scarlet Letter respectively.

You may not want to count this one, but Superman was played by George Reeves and Christopher Reeve.
